Marine Dream
A shining sphere of creamy smoothness sinks,
reflecting the unfurling curvature
of swirling worlds submerged in rainbow inks
wherein a girl of velvet colors lures
you toward her seaborne flight of fantasy
through hedge of nettles wet with poison thorns
that warn of paradox by ecstasy
and guard the ocean's luscious furtive forms.
She curls her body as she cups the pearl,
and fish of every neon hue draw near
to witness one last whispered breath unfurl,
her question swimming softly to your ear:
If beauty is the fruit of symmetry
then why can't you depart this life with me?
Gorgeous form and curves to this poem. The form itself emotes the alluring shape of the siren, drawing you in. Sumptuous.
Great use of assonance throughout!
